The Context
The Licensure in Elementary Education Program (LEEP) program is designed for students who wish to become elementary classroom teachers in K-12 public schools. Successful completion of the program will culminate in a recommendation to Oregon’s Teacher Standards and Practices Commission for a Preliminary Teaching License with endorsements to teach Elementary Multiple Subjects and English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), along with a BA/BS in Elementary Education.
What Was My Role?
I am the Program Coordinator’s Assistant. My job is to provide support and solve issues that they can not.
Issue: We want a logo. How do we go about that?
I connected with an acquaintance who goes to school for graphic design. My acquaintance needed some experience for a portfolio and was ready to handle the design.
Next: We want t-shirts with the logo.
I researched and found a screen printing place in Portland. A month and a half later, we had a logo and t-shirts.
